Kate Snow is anchoring, which makes me believe that this is the live 3pm hour. I wasn't watching at noon so I don't know if it's the same show, though.
-
I thought that too, but the guide doesn't show it as a "New" episode. Which could be an error, but I don't know.

On Monday, WCAU will be moving Kelly Clarkson back to the 2pm slot (where she originally was from 2019 to 2022) and adding a second hour of NBC News Daily at 3pm. According to the schedule, the 3pm airing will be a repeat of the 12pm airing. Access Daily (currently at 2pm) will move to 2:33am, while Dateline at 1pm remains untouched. Good news for Drew Barrymore, who will now have the only talk show in the 3pm hour (her show airs on KYW), unless you count Maury reruns on WPHL.

Same with WTXF. They have Good Day from 4am to 10am, then the Good Day After Show (which I still don't understand) from 10am to 11am, then FOX Local shows from 11am to noon. Then Sherri finally starts at noon. Meanwhile 25WOL and Divorce Court are both aired after midnight. (I'm not trying to make this a list thread.) I wonder if Jennifer Hudson may have some time slot changes on the FOX O&Os since she's continuing while Sherri (which usually airs right before) has been cancelled. WTXF airs her at 1pm, which is an odd time for a talk show IMO. Are Judge Judy reruns ending? I feel like I've heard that but don't know if it's true. If so, WTXF needs to fill the 2pm hour, too. Hell, at this rate, we might see some of these FOX O&Os picking up the America's Funniest Home Videos reruns!

I really don't understand what is supposed to replace Sherri and Kelly. I would think we would have an announcement by now if there were going to be new shows.
-
I agree with everything you said here. FOX 29 definitely has the highest amount of people who worked at other stations previously (Bob Kelly, Kathy Orr, Drew Anderson, Jennifer Joyce). That being said, they don't have any spots open. Although, who does weekend evenings? Most likely he'll continue to focus on forecasting online. He could make his own Norcast Weather-type operation, or he could actually join them as I said above.
-
Chris just posted on Facebook confirming he is moving back to South Jersey. With that being said, I still don't see how he would end up at 6abc again, since they have no openings. Some people on FB said he could work with Nor'easter Nick, which seems more probable to me. Does 29 have any spots? Someone said that Cecily is planning on moving to GMA and Chris could move back to 6, but I have no idea where they got that from and I'm assuming it's pure speculation.
-
Sorry if you're joking and I'm just not picking up on it, but if you're serious, the article says that both of the incidents were outside of work. So she wasn't actually on air.
-
The only place I could think of would be 6:30pm, where there aren't any local newscasts. They'd have lots of competition from ABC and NBC's national newscasts, but some viewers might prefer a local alternative.

I guess there's no PHL17 thread that's still open, so this is the second best place (and it's somewhat relevant to WPVI anyway). I saw PHL17 post on Facebook that they are welcoming a new meteorologist, Sloane Haines. However, Monica Cryan (their current meteorologist) is still there. Granted, Monica could be leaving soon and they just wanted to bring her replacement in early, but I wonder if they could potentially be expanding their newscasts beyond the mornings?
-
I was right! It's fixed now. Ironically the real temperature is 56 degrees, which is only one off, but it does actually say that now. The degree symbol is gone, but at least the temperature is right. I guess that heat got them to realize it was wrong.
-
I still don't exactly understand why he was passed over at WPVI so many times? I had thought that he maybe didn't want to move from weekend mornings, but obviously he did considering he moved down the East Coast to be a chief meteorologist. I like Brittany Boyer (she's actually my favorite meteorologist at WPVI currently), but I don't know why Chris didn't get to move to evenings and Brittany to mornings.
-
That would be surprising, because I believe he was their chief meteorologist. As far as I remember, he never added WPTV to his Facebook page, so I don't think that's new. He was definitely on their website before, though.

I just thought about this thread after seeing that! It was close enough for a while, but now it's not even close to 57 degrees. It's 90 at the airport right now. I wonder if they'll finally notice it now that it's wildly incorrect. I also remember the bug going up to and over 100 degrees. Even though the last time we actually hit 100 degrees (other than last year) was back in 2012.
-
This is totally random, but I've been watching Drew Barrymore a lot lately and I noticed that the temperature on KYW's time/temperature bug is stuck at 57 degrees. It's currently 61 degrees at the airport. It's been at 57 degrees for weeks. The time does change each minute, though. I guess nobody has noticed. I think KYW is one of the only CBS O&Os that has a time/temperature bug anyway. It and WPSG are the only Philly stations that have one.
-
I'm sure Ghosts is. It had a weeknight test run on the CBS sidecar stations in the fall, and WPSG (and possibly other stations too) is still airing it on the weekends. Abbott definitely could, especially since they hit their 88th episode (the bare minimum) just last night. Or they could wait until next fall.

Just another deplorable and foreboding moment for this industry and this country.

Last year I started an archive of contemporary TV listings for all 210 markets, and you're definitely correct. I thought that these shows had good slots in most places because I live in an NBC O&O market, but they really don't. Especially Access Daily -- it's in a prime afternoon slot on the O&Os, but in most other markets, it either doesn't air or is on at 7AM on the MyNetworkTV affiliate or something.
-
Well, keep in mind that all of the shows that are ending are syndicated, so not every NBC station would need to fill gaps. If they wanted to bring back DOOL, they would need to either replace NBC News Daily (which wouldn't solve the problem since there would still be two empty hours), take another hour from the affiliates, or syndicate DOOL/make it exclusive to the O&Os. None of those seem all that likely to me, but I guess anything is possible.
-
It would be interesting if they expanded their lifestyle shows to a full hour and moved them to the afternoons, but I don't really see them doing that. WCAU's is only 15 minutes long anyway, since their 11am newscast is 45 minutes.
-
The FOX O&Os will need to replace "Sherri," so we may be seeing more of that. Or they could just bring "The Jason Show" to the entire group.
-
I wouldn't be surprised if they did something like that. They could air Law & Order reruns to pair with Dateline.
-
Well, this is disappointing. Definitely not a good sign for syndication (though it's not like it's been thriving up until this very moment). Has Tamron been renewed yet? Other than her, this only leaves Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Hudson, and Live with Kelly and Mark for next year. Also, I just realized that this must mean that P!nk replacement for Kelly Clarkson must not be happening.
-
I just saw the IG post from Entertainment Tonight about this. I'm not surprised, but I am disappointed because that's the only daytime talk show I actually watch. I wonder what the NBC O&Os will replace her with. 3pm news? Maybe there will be a replacement talk show, but I'd be kind of surprised. Weren't Michaela Pereira and Ken Jeong supposed to get talk shows? What happened to those?
-
The new court show will actually be called "Adam's Law," which is really odd to me considering that's the name of the federal law that categorizes sex offenders into different tiers, and it's also an anti-hazing law in Virginia. Obviously the show has nothing to do with either one of those, but you would think they would've called it "Adam's Court" or something. Also, why is CBS distributing "America's Funniest Home Videos?" Or am I misunderstood and they're just going to be carrying it on their stations (I assume the independent sidecar stations) without actually distributing it?
