Some schedule changes in Houston, TX to talk about, according to Zap2It:

    • On KTXH My 20 Vision, "Judge Judy" replaces the 2nd run of "Divorce Court" at 2:30pm on September 6th (and on the 13th, another run of "Judge Judy," moving DC to KRIV FOX 26 at 1:30am) and the two extra runs of "Family Feud" move up to 6pm and 6:30pm, shifting "Modern Family," the three runs of "The Big Bang Theory," "Schitt's Creek," "2 Broke Girls," and "The Simpsons" down an hour.
    • "You Bet Your Life" with Jay Leno will air on KRIV at 6:30pm and 11:30pm, starting Sept. 13.
    • "Relative Justice" will air on KIAH CW39 at 12 noon, also starting September 13, moving the single run of "Judge Jerry" to 5am (yes, 5am) only for now.
    • Syndicated reruns of "S.W.A.T." will air on CW39 starting September 18.

    More Houston TV schedule changes:

    • The amount of episodes of "Schitt's Creek" aired on KTXH each day has now been cut to 1, at 8:00pm.
    • "Bull" and "SEAL Team" replaced "NCIS" and "NCIS: New Orleans" on KHOU on the weekends on September 18.
    • "Young Sheldon" will air on KIAH CW39 at 6:00 and 6:30pm CST starting September 27, cutting "The Goldbergs" and "Last Man Standing" to one episode each, and moving "black-ish" back to it's original timeslot (when it debuted in syndication in 2018), 5:00pm. Also on CW39, the "Jerry Springer" reruns on The CW have been replaced in the 3:00pm slot by the syndicated ones, and CW39's morning newscast "No Wait Weather and Traffic" was recently expanded by a half-hour at the start (from 5:30am to 9:30am). And "MacGyver" started airing on CW39 (at 12 noon and 1:00pm) on weekends, along with "S.W.A.T." (at 4:00 and 5:00pm), on September 18.
    • "Nick Cannon" will air on KRIV FOX 26 at 11:00am (replacing "The Real", which will now exclusively air on KTXH) and repeat at 2:00am (replacing the "TMZ Live" repeat).

Also, I Still can’t stand the narrator since the 2020-21 season of hot bench, Christopher Thomas. I miss Rino Romano.

Personally, I don't really care for either voice-over. Don't really like either of them. I think Bill Ratner or Steve Kamer would have been better choices.

Nexstar recently posted the affiliate list for Rewind TV.

KMSS has it in Shreveport, KABB(!) has it in San Antonio and WOIO has it in Cleveland.

I'm surprised that KIAH in Houston (which is owned by Nexstar) wasn't included on the list.

  4. Here's something that I find ridiculous: With KUBE-TV Houston switching to full-time ShopHQ programming, none of the syndicated programs (first-run or off-net) that were being shown as more ShopHQ programming came in are currently shown on any of the Houston-area stations, that according to listings on Zap2It. Couldn't any of the other stations in Houston at least have made an effort to try and pick those programs up for their schedules? For now, for those people who live in Houston, you're gonna have to tune to KBTX (if you're lucky to get it, which I am right now) to see some of the programs pre-empted in Houston.

Another thing: On the KIAH CW39 listings on Zap2It, there is interestingly a "To Be Announced" listing at 3:00 p.m. CST for the weeks of September 13th and 20th. I wonder what that may mean...

But wait, here is a KPRC newscast close from 1983 which also includes a station sign-off from that period.

Bumping an old reply, but it looks like the link to this is no longer available. I would have loved to see how KPRC signed off in 1983.

Times are up for Young Sheldon. KSTW Seattle takes a double-run from 5-6pm this fall, but entering any '989XX' zip code comes up empty, so it looks like YS is not scheduled to be on any stations - for now. Whoever runs programming at KIMA needs to get Inside Edition moved over to 4:30 this fall and replace the 6:30 timeslot with YS. YS, BBT, Simpsons, what a lineup that would be 😉

For Houston, it has 6:00PM and 6:30PM as the airtimes, but no station listed.
