  1. Yep, Tegna issued a press release today saying that all of it's stations will have 7-9am online-only newscasts by the fall: https://www.tegna.com/tegna-announces-major-local-news-expansion-adding-more-than-100-hours-of-new-daily-programming-across-50-markets/
  2. The CW will air the Savannah Bananas baseball game on July 27th: https://www.nexstar.tv/banana-ball-heads-to-the-cw-network-with-the-broadcast-television-debut-of-the-savannah-bananas-on-sunday-july-27/
  3. Also would Tegna unload it's flaghip?
  4. Sony struck a deal for next-day streaming of Jeopardy and Wheel. They will appear on Hulu and Peacock starting in September: https://variety.com/2025/tv/news/wheel-of-fortune-jeopardy-stream-hulu-peacock-september-1236417105/
  5. Well there is the WHDH/WLVI duo as an example of an indie/CW pairing. Since Gray made a big deal over airing some Braves games you might as well go for all of it on the old WTBS.
  6. Jaysha Patel, formerly from KABC, has joined the station: https://www.instagram.com/p/DKHqPa2Abzj/
  7. Segments from today's final edition of Around the Horn: The first segment: The ending:
  8. And here's Ellen's last newscast: https://abc7.com/videoClip/16500087/
  9. Leon Harris went on former colleague's Daryn Kagan's podcast about his alcoholism and how that led to his departure from WRC-TV:
  10. Yeah, it's getting common. In DC, WTTG, has the FOX 5 Live Zone from 12-2pm, the only 2 hours between 4am-7:30pm where they don't have local programming over the air. Reminds me of how KTLA had 5 Live to fill in time online when they still aired syndicated shows in the daytime.
  11. Yesterday it was announced 11 stations have joined the Fever network, including a lot that aren't owned by TEGNA: https://www.wthr.com/article/sports/wnba/indiana-fever/tegna-expands-broadcast-distribution-indiana-fever-games-11-additional-markets-stations-companies-how-to-watch-guide-free-caitlin-clark-aliyah-boston/531-4b0454bb-85c9-49ec-8903-aea5b087535b
  12. In more news, the pricing for ESPN's direct to consumer service is out: https://espnpressroom.com/us/press-releases/2025/05/new-direct-to-consumer-offering-to-be-singularly-branded-espn/ $29.99/month or $299/year for everything ESPN (all the ESPN-owned channels, all the sporting events on ABC, ESPN+).
  13. Then they might have to sell stations on Long Island since it's a virtual monopoly of all the Nassau/Western Suffolk County-based FM stations.
  14. The meteorologist named Majestic Storm joined WCNC as of yesterday: https://www.wcnc.com/article/about-us/majestic-storm-meteorologist-wcnc-charlotte/275-5fa6a77b-85c0-4680-829b-5db81fb12d6c
  15. On that note from the thumbnails in the video archives I see that Colleen Sullivan is now regularly anchoring 11am instead of Jovana Lara.
