  1. It would be nice if USA had more sports programming, but I don't think NBC will put nba games or Inside the NBA on USA. If they wanted more sports programming on USA, they would have put big 10 football and basketball on USA, as well as on NBC and peacock.
  2. If NBC is going to keep Inside the NBA, they're probably going to put the program on CNBC. Back when NBC had the NBA in the 90s, CNBC was used for pre and post game coverage. It might be easier for NBC to use CNBC for this than USA Network. It would not interrupt schedule programming already on USA network. CNBC doesn't have programming that gets more audience than USA with reruns of law and order svu, ncsi, , chicago fire, & etc.
  3. NBC could put the show on Peacock.
  4. If ABC keeps their part of the deal, they've been showing saturdays night games. So, if NBC gets part of the NBA deal, their prime time would be Sunday nights only or another night as well? I think NBC will probably have a double header Sunday nights. Otherwise, the only other night that might make sense would be Friday night games in my opinion, since NBC only has dateline on Friday nights with reruns at 8pm.
  5. There's an article that says NBC would air 2 primetime games a week during the season. Would that mean a Sunday Night double header or 2 games spread out during the week on NBC?
  6. According to yahoo finance, NBC is offering 2.5b to broadcast NBA games. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/nbc-plans-2-5-billion-220910697.html
  7. What are the chances of NBC getting a piece of the rights?
  8. I was under the assumption that kttv/kcop were expanding their newscast not necessarily to just fill the time during the weekdays because syndicated programs were not doing well. That is why I thought they would put more newscast especially on the weekends on kcop, since the weekdays seemed to be filled with news already. I was not specifically sayjng they were going to try to compete with other stations, since it seems like they have difficulty doing that currently with the newscast on kttv.
  9. Will the station expand today in LA weekend? If they do, the station should put a newscast on both Saturday and Sunday before the today show, then their regular scheduled newscast at 7am, then add a late newscast on Sundays after newsconference if there are no scheduled sports programming from the network.
  10. Based on the post under kcop as te subject, a post said that kcop was just putting news on the air in the afternoons to fill in the time since syndicated programs were having difficulty getting ratings or something. I would hope that is not the only reason and that the station does want to expand their newscast not only on kttv, but on kcop. In my opinion, the addition of weekend morning newscast on either or both kttv and kcop would be the next logical step if they are expanding their newscasts.
  11. What does NBC have to air in place of those races, especially on the USA network, where they don't have a lot of sports programming?
  12. Why do they need a different anchor for Sundays? Why can't the Saturday anchor work both days and have a couple of weekdays off like Mondays / Tuesdays or Thursdays / Fridays? Or find someone that can anchor on both Saturdays and Sundays while also contributing during the week without working everyday.
  13. I don't understand why some of the digital channels like METV needs to be on more than one subchannel. For example, I can find METV, Heroes & Icons, and Catchy TV in the Los Angeles area on more than one local subchannel. Why is this the case?
  14. Wonder why other networks aren't interested? Like the USA network? They want more sports programming.

    USA NETWORK

I understand that less people are paying for cable, but USA network is still one of the popular cable networks and if they want it to stay popular and keep their viewers, I would think they would put some games on USA, while putting the majority of the games they may get if they are getting NBA on peacock & NBC.
