  1. ...wait, why are they selling KNWA instead of KFSM? Didn't KNWA (as KFAA) signed on as a satellite of the-now KFTA-TV? (Formerly KPOM-TV)
  2. For KMCI-TV, it was a logo rebrand, per se. It didn't stop being "The Spot", in fact, I dunno why Scripps even imported that brand to other media markets.
  3. Yea, but I think it could be good 'cause of the fact that St. Joesph, MO only (for a long time) have one TV station airing local newscasts which is KQTV. (Personally, KTAJ-TV is a lot more of a Kansas City station.)
  4. So, umm, Penn-State really just reversed the decision to shut down WPSU-FM-TV and will now sell the stations to Philly based WHYY-FM-TV. https://www.post-gazette.com/news/education/2025/10/13/penn-state-wpsu-whyy-ownership-transfer-radio/stories/202510130067
  5. But it doesn't made sense for Penn State to just shut the stations all together, plus couldn't PSU just asked WQED?
  6. I ain't tryin' to change your mind but okay... Southwest Florida isn't a small market, it's more medium sized. Plus, if both parties (In Question, the Waterman family, especially Edith who wanted to sell WBBH and the LMA for WZVN before her 100th birthday; and Hearst) are okay and approve it, it's a deal. Come on, it's a sale that had already been completed, why be so troublesome about it? Plus, Hearst rarely even buys (or sells) stations. Just calm down and appreciate that it wasn't SINCLAIR acquiring them.
  7. Exactly. They would've destroyed the station.
  8. So, basically, you think Hearst, wasted MONEY on the "unnecessary" purchase of WBBH and the LMA of WZVN? Imagine saying that to the face of the Waterman family in 2023 when they sold them off. Hearst is more reliable. Also... At least Hearst isn't dumb and wanted to trash the stations.
  9. So, a couple of days ago, news broke out from Huntville, Alabama where multiple news outlets (including WAFF, WHNT and WZDX) are reporting that, starting October 1st, The Alabama Educational Television Commission-owned station WLRH is dropping NPR for local programming.
  10. I wonder what would happen in Kansas City and St. Louis is Nexstar decides to buy Tegna? For context: In St. Louis, Tegna owns NBC affiliate KSDK Ch. 5 in St. Louis, ...But doesn't own any stations in Kansas City. However Nexstar owns FOX affiliate KTVI in St. Louis in a duopoly with CW station KPLR which is a sister station to Kansas City's Fox affiliate, WDAF-TV.
  11. Not quite, Yes, you get weird examples like how the license for WICZ-TV is Binghamton License, LLC instead of Imagicomm Binghamton, LLC, other stations still are Imagicomm (City name here), LLC.
  12. Grand Function is small but Colorado Springs–Pueblo, Colorado isn't that small, its more medium sized.
  13. Welp, that sucks. Why Scripps?
  14. Or still use Uri Berliner's words as excuse to claim that NPR isn't reliable.
