  1. Made official today--Red Sox vs. Cardinals, this coming Sunday (5/19) at 1:05pm Eastern; Chip Caray (Cards TV play-by-play), Will Middlebrooks (Red Sox color analyst), and Alexa Datt (Cards dugout/field reporter) will be on the call for this Sunday's game. It'll be the first of 18 telecasts, and all for free. Pregame shows will start 15 minutes prior to first pitch, and postgame coverage will be roughly the same length.
  2. I'm watching KTLA as I write this...very shocking and sad. Condolences to his and the KTLA family.
  3. KTLA still does live streaming, as does as KRON in San Francisco. The rest of Nexstar's news-producing stations stream their newscasts on delay. As for Sook not seeing the value in streaming overall is such ass-backwards thinking.
  4. It's a certainty that GMFB will be on the MyNetworkTV O&Os and KICU in the Bay Area. In Fox's "single" markets (Atlanta, Tampa, Austin, Detroit, Philadelphia), I can't see those stations cramming in GMFB alongside their "Good Day Wherever" newscasts and their usual daytime block of talk, TMZ, more news, and game shows.
  5. NFL Network is in cost-cutting mode, as they're laying-off some staff, including many on-air personalities, plus cancelling Total Access. If ESPN takes over NFL Media, then more than likely NFL Live will take over as the Shield's "show of record". Also, because NFL Media is now currently based across the driveway from SoFi Stadium, it would also potentially give ESPN a second Los Angeles-area studio facility to operate from, if necessary. This has been rumored for years.
  6. I agree...if Turner loses the NBA, I could see a scenario where they'll loan Ernie Johnson to whomever (Amazon, or NBC or even ESPN) just for Inside the NBA (or whatever title they would use if the Association leaves Turner), I believe so long as Ernie wants to go that route. He's given years of service to Turner, so IMO he's the earned the right to his dictate his own terms. It's not unprecedented that sportscasters and analysts work for more than one entity concurrently...it's too many countless examples through the years. If they can find a way to keep Ernie, Shaq, Kenny, and Charles together, they will.
  7. It'll be the first time since the demise of Qubo in 2021 that we've had an over-the-air digital network largely dedicated to cartoons. However, the only difference is that MeTV Toons will feature shows that many of us of a certain age remember fondly, as opposed to a channel that featured mainly Canadian content and cheaply-produced domestic animation. Also because Warner Bros. Discovery is also involved, this new network will access to a lot of content, between the original Warner Bros. and Hanna-Barbera studios.
