I suspect Gray will end up with another station in Indianapolis. It makes sense with their other acquisitions in the state. Scripps is interested in off-loading stations to "local buyers" to make it seem like the stations will be taken care of by people who care about the community.

Scrippscasts are the clearly pre-recorded newscasts, which take twice as much effort to put together as the LIVE broadcasts. I feel bad for whoever buys Scripps and has to undo all of this.

Affiliations will be a thing of the past in the next 5 to 7 years.

I would expect many news staffers at all the soon-to-be Scripps stations to be shown the light straight to the unemployment line as the result of downsizing. It's also a good thing that Coloradans are used to pre-recorded news. I'm sure 11 News and the others will be Scrippscasted as soon as the deal closes.
