Frank Holland joins WGN

WGN-TV has hired Frank Holland as the newest member of the WGN Morning News. Holland, who joins the station after a two-year stint as a general assignment reporter and fill-in anchor at NBC affiliate WDIV in Detroit, will co-anchor the first 90 minutes of the newscast from 4-5:30 a.m., and serve as a reporter for the remainder of the newscast.

 

This is his first full-time news anchoring postition, Holland's career started as a reporter working at both KTVK in Phoenix and PBS member network AlaskaOne. Holland's also been a sports anchor/news reporter for CBS affiliate TV2 in the Virgin Islands, and he worked as a reporter for both News 12 Westchester in Yonkers, New York and NBC affiliate WMGM in Atlantic City.
