Remebering 9/11

Hard to believe it's been almost 10 years since that horrible day. New York stations are doing extensive coverage of the events especially with the new terror alert. Channels 2 and 4 had one anchor at Ground Zero.. Channel 5 had Greg and Rosanna there at 7-9.. tonight each station has atleast one anchor at Ground Zero.. And spread out at the other two locations of the attacks.. This weekend will be filled with special reports and coverage of all the ceremonies.. Again hard to believe 10 years. We Will NEVER Forget. God Bless America.

Absolutely, that day was a day that will live in infamy for the rest of our lives. Its truly unfathomable that 10 years has already gone by since that terrible, disgusting day. But anyway it just goes to show how this country is resilient and the people in it are truly strong and its the nature of being a New Yorker. They can take down buildings any day but they can't take down our spirit and culture and what it means to be an American. Buildings come and go, but not the true spirit. We have bigger and better buildings coming up in place of what was there before. And to the lives of the 3000 people who were innocently taken away. I'm sure they are in a better place right now, watching over us. We owe it to the first responders as well as the people who are overseas defending this country against those cowards.

 

Now as for the news side of this. Its great to see the stations truly devoting their time for this because it is something that many people are holding dear to. And already to see coverage at Ground Zero is truly big. 10 years is a huge deal though. Its been a decade since these attacks and many people are going to remember this. Sunday will be a solemn day for this country. And may God Bless us all and help us get through this day.

 

There was talk about a Car Bomb threat as well, we'll have to wait and see. Apparently the threat was real, but not credible. The stations have been covering that as well..
