24994J 5586
I've wondered this since the graphics were introduced and I've searched other sites and threads...what font does WLS use for it's L3's and such? Jess 1115
It's a silly name to match the silly title of this thread, but the WLS font is TheSans: http://www.lucasfonts.com/fonts/thesans/ Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/11548-another-silly-font-threadim-not-excited-either/#findComment-69339 Share on other sites

Jess 1115
That looks like it's just a modified version of Whitney. Actually I think Whitney looks closer to whatever font they use for WNBC. TheSans is more of a riff on Meta, I've always thought. But all three look like easily discernible, distinct fonts to me. That said, I work with typography regularly enough to tell those types of fonts apart, whereas most regular people mistake Arial for Helvetica. There's a great article that sums up the history of subway signage and the frequently muddled font history. Now if you want extremely similar fonts, try comparing Myriad to Frutiger. Or Helvetica to Swiss. Or Futura and Twentieth Century Gothic. Lord, I can go on...
