fan of la tv 47 Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 A new weekend morning newscast on KCBS/KCAL starting Saturday January 14. On Saturdays the news will run on KCBS from 7-8 a.m. and on KCAL from 8-10 a.m. On Sundays the news will run on KCBS from 6-7 a.m. and on KCAL from 7-9 a.m. Weekend mornings are now getting crowded with local news. In the Sunday 7a.m. hour, 4 stations (KNBC, KTLA, KABC, and KCAL) will have news.
mbhcity 3 Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 Good for them, KTTV has a Sunday Morning newscast a while back, but KCAL is growing and the newscast might be a plus for them.
SFTV 529 Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 wow this is a first for KCAL to do morning news, i wonder how that will work. I wonder if they will have a weekday morning news...doubt it since KTLA and KTTV have been dominating the mornings for how many years
abric 181 Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Actually KCAL did have a weekday morning newscast in the early 90s but that quickly disappeared.
mbhcity 3 Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 They also had Mid-Morning LA back in the 80's, which Ted Meyers anchoring the news there.
