KPIX is doesn’t have a 4am or 5am it’s CBS Mornings. It’s probably because they are mostly focusing on producing and broadcasting the CBS NEWS 24/7 Streaming in their secondary studio for the National Feed KPIX only has a 6am Newscast which then leads into their 7am newscast on KPYX (KPIX+). They quietly cancelled their 8am show a year and a half ago which is now just an encore/rebroadcast of the 7am show. They tried to trick us viewers by covering the Time Clock with a black square but Daylight Savings makes it more noticeable during Fall and winter when it’s still dark at 7am and the 8am is already daylight by now.

4 years after the new set debut. I like how they’re trying to make it realistic….if you look at the fake floor light next to the weather man/left window pane, it’s not glowing.

KMAX needs an overhaul, their Good Day Sacramento set is almost 20 years old. At least update the desk or refresh the loft look at least.

from the looks of it yes. The KPIX 8pm show is on air on KPIX+, however the stream is replaced by Sacramento Primetime from KOVR. Didn’t catch the 9pm edition but I’m guessing it’s the KPIX 8pm show replay… Jerry Dunphy is probably rolling in his grave seeing the NorCal motto: ”From Sea to Sierra.”

Just noticed today that the KPIX Live Stream Bug is now rebranded as “CBS NEWS NORCAL then switching to CBS NEWS SEA to SIERRA.” on air it’s still KPIX | CBS News Bay Area bug also on the livestream that doesn’t show on air is the Bay Area and Sacramento counties bug seen below in the video. and another note, during the stream breaks they merged PIX and KOVR newscast talent ads together with a new “you’re watching CBS NORCAL” B-Roll

KUSI just spent so much renovating their building to accommodate KSWB. It will be interesting how they will bring in KFMB. Seeing all the behind the scenes videos thru socials, looks like they only built 2 studios. but that CW logo is a mess for KUSI

FTV Live is reporting Nancy Chen formerly a correspondent for CBS News is coming to KGO-TV. She is Reggie Aqui’s replacement for ABC7 Mornings. She starts March 2. Reggie left at the end of September after 10 years at the station which was a shock to many viewers here in the Bay Area. KGO is now Eyewitness News with the WABC/WLS logo variant debuting on the 5pm show No Dispatch in open. Haha you beat me to it!

im hoping KGO doesn’t go full on dispatch. They only use dispatch at the end of the morning newscast before the close which is the top 7 stories of the day “7 Things You Need to Know.” Hmm let’s see if they pick up the “Eyewitness News.”

After serving the San Diego airwaves for nearly 3 decades (1988-2015), Jerry Cesak also known as Jer from “The Jeff and Jer Showgram,” has passed away.

Sometimes there are some oddities that pop up from the graphics hub on KGO from time to time…for example the Australia Shooting Titlecard shows “EYEWITNESS NEWS” not ABC7 NEWS but the ABC7 Bay Area app on the bottom is correct.
