24994J 5585
http://www.newscasts...r-touchscreens/ Broadcast Engineering is reporting that five ABC owned stations are adopting AccuWeather’s StoryTeller touchscreen solution. The stations, WABC-TV in New York, KABC-TV in Los Angeles, WLS-TV in Chicago, WPVI-TV in Philadelphia and KTRK-TV in Houston, will use the system across a wide variety of topics including weather, news, traffic and sports. In addition to full telestrator capabilities, the system comes with predefined gestures that allow the presenter to interact in realtime with graphics and data. At least one of the stations, WPVI-TV, has been making use of touchscreens for some time now, having installed a “big board” wall in 2010... The funny thing is that (from what I've seen) WLS hasn't technically used theirs for weather, yet...just traffic and a few news reports (only by Alan Krashesky and Chuck Goudie).
