Make the transition easy, give Brian Curtis the 6:30 and Meredith Land the 5 so no other newscasts have to be affected. Unfortunate what happened to Jane McGarry. Watched her numerous times over the years visiting friends and family in the Dallas area. Sadly, not everyone handles pressure like the rest of us do.
