Viper550 292 Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 With my comments about Fox's "C. More" mascot for its MyNetworkTV stations (basically a anthropomorphic My 9 logo, substitute correct number depending on market)... ...I thought, aside from the NBC Peacock of course, have your local stations had any notable/classic mascots?
AndrewPollard_ 6 Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 I remember that guy very fondly. I loved to see him every day, until the station got rid of him.
bostonmediaguy 124 Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 WSBK/Boston had Blockhead until becoming a MyNet station this past September. https://twitter.com/tv38blockhead http://www.youtube.com/tv38boston
trev57 46 Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 WITI had Albert the Alley Cat. (Tom Skilling didn't exactly have fond memories of him) http://www.toontrack...ukee/dublon.htm
Chief-O 34 Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 Not in my market, but this thread couldn't continue without mention of WSAW's Sir Seven [who has actually returned since their HD transition].
Mrtraveler01 738 Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Not in my market either but I noticed that Peachtree TV in Atlanta has a walking version of their logo as a mascot that they use in the promos and at certain events in Atlanta:
jerseyfla 207 Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 WFTV in Orlando had the "Cat o' 9 tail". They brought him back for the analog sign-off in June 12, 2009, He's at 2:13. http://rogersimmons.com/wftv-analog-signoff-was-the-cats-meow/2009/07/09/
