compubit 675 Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 I visited NYC over this weekend and have a comment/complaint about 2.2's programming. While I like the news wheel format (give us 15 minutes and you're caught up on the top news stories), I'm frustrated with their presentation: they're airing the programming in 16:9 format, but then letterboxing it, if you display it on a widescreen TV, you end up with black bars on the top and bottom and everything is "Squished" top to bottom. If you put it in 4:3 mode on a wide screen, you end up with black bars all around... I haven't seen CBS Philly+ to see how they are doing it. Hopefully, they're doing it right... I do like the rotation of cuts of CBS Enforcer during weather & traffic segments. :-) J
bostonmediaguy 124 Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 Anyone have any video of CBS Plus? I'm interested in seeing the presentation.
compubit 675 Posted August 5, 2012 Author Posted August 5, 2012 I have video - just need to edit it down and get it uploaded to YouTube... I can't guarantee a time-frame, though... J
Action Newsroom 1300 Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 I watched CBS Philly+, and it looks great. Its like New York+, but everything fits in the 4:3 format. And the Enforcer cuts are also great. They do it well over there.
bostonmediaguy 124 Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 I have video - just need to edit it down and get it uploaded to YouTube... I can't guarantee a time-frame, though... J Looking forward to it.
