A great video. I don't hate the new theme; I think it's very well made in its own right. The original however is too iconic and intrinsically linked to the city and Delaware Valley to drop, so I totally get the viewers' utter hated of it (I more than likely would've despised it too if I were older then), and I appreciate that the station recognized a mistake was made and quickly rectified it.

I really love this set. It's big and open like the early 18th season set, yet as inviting and personable and as warm as-- no, make that warmer than the set of mid-18th season onward. And it's definitely giving Midtown loft like the sets of the single-digit seasons. I so can't wait to go to a taping now.

This would've looked amazing in the past when a design like this worked (with limitations of course) -- or any time in another country. But this looks pleasantly bizarre here in this decade. Of course, I'll give it a better opinion when I see it in action, but not the best first impression so far.

Eight CBS Stations to Ditch CW and Go Independent This Fall
Action Newsroom replied to AKA's topic in General TV
CW never did that great in the ratings when CBS co-owned it, and did well financially thanks to Netflix, so they should expect this now. -
Wow! the last set was fantastic in its own right. So this new creation must be a glorious godsend (exaggerating, yes, but still). I really can't wait to see it in action (pun intended).

The Evening News is getting an overhaul - with a move back to the Broadcast Center, an anchor duo of John Dickerson and WCBS' Maurice DuBuois (alongside Face the Nation's Margaret Brennan and WCBS' Lonnie Quinn), a new production leadership and an infusion of the production style and content of 60 Minutes. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/new-cbs-evening-news-anchors-john-dickerson-maurice-dubois-1235963606/ https://deadline.com/2024/08/cbs-evening-news-anchors-john-dickerson-maurice-dubois-1236028559/
