  1. I know. The 9th is this Tuesday. The 16th is next Tuesday. That's what I meant.
  2. After Midnight has a premiere date -- January 16 (yep, next Tuesday).
  3. The USFL and XFL are merging into a brand new spring football league -- the United Football League. The first season under the newly formed entity is on March 30. https://deadline.com/2023/12/united-football-league-plans-xfl-usfl-merger-1235684077/
  4. 1) Since it's staying around, it's gonna take a while to forget that this network name was last associated with home design, cooking and DIY shows. 2) That logo looks like one of a 90s haircare brand. Considering it's new strategy, while not bad, it's a bit too on-the-nose IMO. haha
  5. TBN confirmed as a distribution partner of Merit Street Media. https://deadline.com/2023/12/phil-mcgraw-trinity-broadcasting-merit-street-media-1235654589/
  6. Medhi Hasan's weekend show will end, some other weekend shows will shift to other timeslots, and a new three-hour weekend show - known as The Weekend (phew) -- will debut. All these moves take place on January 13. https://tvline.com/news/mehdi-hasan-show-cancelled-ending-msnbc-weekend-schedule-1235091027/
  7. King Charles, a primetime limited series, will premiere on November 29 and will air on Wednesdays at 10pm (the second episode will air an hour earlier). https://deadline.com/2023/11/charles-barkley-gayle-king-cnn-king-charles-1235629965/
  8. UPDATE: it's official.
  9. Intriguing. The CW last aired SmackDown from 2006 to 2008. Ironically, it was later dropped due to previous management not finding it a great fit with its then-strategy of teen dramas (and few sitcoms). If/when NXT is picked up under the current management, WWE programming will return to CW after a long absence, and this time - in line with its growing sports portfolio - it's a perfect fit.
  10. I wish her well where she goes next . Maybe now, the evening shows will get some variety again, and John Muller gets back there -- as he deserves to (unless he wants to spend more time with his family).
  11. Showrunners, writers and EPs are set for the new @midnight -- excuse me, After Midnight. Show debuts early next year. https://deadline.com/2023/11/after-midnight-cbs-showrunners-1235589897/
  12. I was in the second-floor studio's audience a couple times in the years before its axing; I was excited to go (after peeking in the first floor windows every time I visit NYC) and had a blast each time (I even got to meet Robin and George after the show wrapped). So yeah, while I can't wait for the new set and era in Hudson Square to come, it really will be an end of a era onTimes Square that will be remembered fondly by many (me included).
  13. Kelly Clarkson is all the way Live (from New York) for season five & Drew Barrymore has more in store for season 4! Both return on October 16.
  14. The USFL will merge with the XFL. Details announced at a later date.
  15. The XFL is merging with the USFL. Details announced at a later date.
  16. Set is slick, smooth and superb. I really like it. Great job, all involved.
  17. Vanna White is staying on with Wheel of Fortune as cohost for the next two seasons (through the 43rd [2025-26]), along with a sweet pay raise. https://deadline.com/2023/09/vanna-white-wheel-of-fortune-new-deal-season-41-pat-sajak-1235550608/
  18. If y'all think one of Byron Allen's shows airing for short time on one broadcast network is either a cause for alarm or a giant joke (or both LBH), then you'll get a big kick out of Allen himself showing interest in buying another broadcast network-- ABC (along with FX and National Geographic). https://tvline.com/news/abc-byron-allen-sale-talks-fx-national-geographic-disney-1235043961/
  19. Meteorologist Rob Marciano is leaving GMA Weekend. He'll still work for ABC, and will be succeeded by Somara Theodore. https://tvline.com/news/rob-marciano-leaving-good-morning-america-weekend-edition-meteriologist-1235042885/
  20. In either case: not anymore it will. DWTS will now air on Tuesdays this season. So much for that then. https://deadline.com/2023/09/dancing-with-the-stars-tuesdays-fall-jamie-lynn-spears-joins-cast-1235543907/
  21. Byron Allen's Comics Unleashed is expanding from CBS local (and the rest of first-run syndication) to CBS proper for a limited time only, starting September 18. https://deadline.com/2023/09/comics-unleashed-with-byron-allen-cbs-late-night-1235543726/
  22. Chuck Todd officially bid farewell from Meet the Press at the end of this week's edition, and made great mention of his successor Kristen Welker, saying she'll approach the Moderator role "as a reporter". https://deadline.com/2023/09/chuck-todd-meet-the-press-sign-off-1235542336/
  23. That's interesting.
  24. He had a great track record with the BBC & NYT from what I've read. I wish Mr. Thompson the best in reversing and improving CNN's fortunes. From what we've seen on- and off-air recently, they're gonna need all the goodwill they can get.
  25. Whenever I was sick at home during my elementary and middle school years, The Price is Right was one of my favorite shows to watch. With his natural charisma, sharp wit, electric personality and almost-instant icon status, he was one of the reasons (if not the main reason) I watched and why the show was (and still is) an enduring hit of American television and touchstone of American popular culture. He (like Betty White) at 99 lived a long, beautiful life that will forever live on through his incredible career, the show and both of their enduring legacies. Condolences to his family. May he rest in peace.
