  1. More exits ahead of the merger: - HBO Max head Andy Forssell - Studios & Networks Chief Ann Sarnoff
  2. NOW DailyMailTV has been cancelled. Its run will officially wrap this summer.
  3. WarnerMedia CEO Jason Kilar has left the company ahead of its merger with Discovery.
  4. The Drew Barrymore Show has been renewed for next season.
  5. Agreed. It was especially a disappointment that the second version didn't last, and Tong & Blackmon weren't moved over to the other weekday timeslots (and Tamsen Fadal was).
  6. Wheel of Fortune has tapped a new executive producer to replace Mike Richards -- Bellamie Blackstone. She previously worked on other game shows including “Press Your Luck,” “Deal or No Deal,” and “1 vs. 100.”
  7. Because I never watched Donahue (I was two years old when it ended) and I barely remember hearing of Sally (I only saw bits of it to watch the news).
  8. I'm not gonna lie. I've spent a lot of hours in my childhood (even during school and sick days) watching Maury, and got more a kick out of the varieties of absurdity, frailties, and humanities from the thousands of guests (some repeat of course). I stopped watching a few years ago, because of the repetitive and formulaic nature (just DNA and lie detector test result shows), the same audience reactions and obvious hypocritical sympathy for female guests and apathy for male guests (no matter what they've done) finally turned me away, but I will watch the last episodes with the fondest farewell. I saw Maury the host as a daytime TV icon on the level of Bob Barker, Barbara Walters, Pat & Vanna, Alex Trebek and Oprah Winfrey. Because of it, I've always wanted to attend a taping since, and finally did so a few years ago; it was as awesome as I thought it would. Honestly, it was not only a perfect guilty pleasure of mine, but it was also unintentionally the ultimate PSA for kids and teenagers to never have sex early or cheat on your romantic partner. Of course, some never got the message, which helped the show thrive all these (three!) decades in the first place. I'll totally miss it, for better or worse. It gave me a time to escape from whatever was going on in my life and watch as other people had their lives turned upside down by a piece of paper, some strangers watching it all as if it's a circus sideshow and the Ringmaster being as compassionate and sensitive (and secretly annoyed and amused) as possible. And it was all worth it. Until next time, Maury.
  9. Looks great. This really should've been the design from the start (even if I did personally like the tunnel look the went with). A refresh or straight-up overhaul is totally overdue.
  10. I never planned on putting it there, nor was there an option for that.
  11. THE DISCOVERY SHAREHOLDERS APPROVE. EXPECTED COMPLETION SET FOR APRIL.
  12. Wow. I enjoyed watching these two and both were entertaining in their own ways. It really feels like the next syndicated talk season will be unrecognizable -- if not even more than it is now.
  13. Jerry Springer will hang up his costume-- uhh, robe, and vacate his pipe dream-- I mean bench. Judge Jerry has been canceled, with its current third season being its last.
  14. Licht is an excellent choice. He made CBS This Morning a legit news program worth watching and improved Late Show with Stephen Colbert into a must-watch and genuinely funny late-night talk show. When his tenure goes into effect, I'll definitely watch CNN regularly again.
  15. Honestly, Ion is a much better spinoff brand for Mystery than Court TV ever was -- since it is very well known as the cop/crime drama rerun network, so this makes so much sense.
  16. Apparently, yes. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viacom_(1952–2006)#cite_note-3
  17. Allison Gollust has also resigned from CNN. (As she should.) https://variety.com/2022/tv/news/allison-gollust-resign-cnn-warnermedia-1235183160/
  18. And just as I grew to love (read: tolerate) ViacomCBS lol. This is a name they should've went with the first time (either that or CBSParamount) but personally I'm satisfied with the change nonetheless.
  19. A shareholders' meeting to vote approval of the merger will be held by Discovery on March 11.
  20. Morning Joe's hour four debuts April 4. Joe, Mika and Willie will host all four hours.
  21. We may be seeing a lot more of Sherri Shepherd on The Wendy Williams Show. In fact, if all goes well, we may be seeing her return to the talk game (after her stint on The View) with her own show. https://deadline.com/2022/02/wendy-williams-show-sherri-shepherd-permanent-host-1234928941/
  22. I know that. I meant a variation similar to those "clones".
  23. Finally. The updates to the main desk area and the big screen were good, but they needed a completely new set for way too long. While I expect a set on-par with most of the other O&Os, I hope they get a set like KDKA or WBZ.
  24. AT&T plans to spinoff (rather than split) WarnerMedia as part of the merger
