  1. Here's video announcing the reformat, along with a version of Sunday Morning's theme as its theme and pics of the set -- which I think looks amazing (and yes, there is a rooster sculpture; say what you will). It's all growing on me already.
  2. I'll believe it when it's officially announced; I still refuse to take FTVL seriously. All that said, I personally don't love that name; it sounds more suitable for a more fluff-based morning show than a strictly news-based one. At least "Morning" makes sense as it was used by the Eye as Morning show name once before (and of course still in use today with Sunday Morning.)
  3. Meanwhile, Simone Swink - a longtime senior staffer - is the newest Executive Producer of GMA.
  4. Let's hope one isn't Tamsen Fadal. (Oh who am I kidding; one probably will be her.)
  5. So earlier I went to 1iota for no reason (and by that I meant "looking for talk shows near me that are bringing back audiences") and I got to see this: A variation of the current logo calling back to the original logo in celebration of the 25th season and the silver anniversary. Looks much better than the first version, and reminded me fondly of the original.
  6. Bob Brooks filling in for Brian Taff at noon today. Has he anchored for the station before or is this his first foray at the desk?
  7. I just saw WPVI's logo with the new ABC logo during a station ad on COVID awareness. It looks...alright. But the proportion of the new ABC logo looks a bit overwhelming at first. We'll see if it looks better when it officially debuts.
  8. As mentioned earlier, Tamala Edwards is filling in for Jim tonight. You assumed right.
  9. Maggie Kent filling in this morning for Tam, who is said by Matt to be along this evening.
  10. They could move either it's double run to the 6pm hour or one half of it somewhere in prime-time.
  11. 7 and 9:30pm on WPHL in Philly, displacing mothership The Big Bang Theory (7) and Mom (9:30) from their respective timeslots.
  12. I'm so glad these graphics made it to WCAU. They look so great and compliment the packages at the other O&Os very well.
  13. Johnny Green Jr. has been named president and general manager of CBS News and Television Stations businesses in New York City, overseeing WCBS-TV, WLNY-TV, CBSN New York and CBSNewYork.com.
  14. Caught this at the tail end of the 11 tonight, but Ukee and Jessica were back close together at the center of the desk.
  15. These look very good if not great. The change from mainly blue is a refreshing one. Can't wait for these to reach WCAU.
  16. Yikes. So close, but... Missed it by that much.
  17. Goodbye Studio 57, hello Times Square (and GMA). CTM is moving to a new set at the former TRL studio at ViacomCBS headquarters. https://deadline.com/2021/05/cbs-this-morning-times-square-studio-1234761371/
  18. Nexstar will stay in business with The CW for a long while. 37 stations in as many markets will continue to air the network's programming (and will get a taste of the revenue from Saturday programming).
  19. As if his presence wouldn't be important enough in the merging process and beyond, Zaslav is staying on as President and CEO until the end of 2027.
  20. Executives at AT&T and Discovery Inc. are in active discussion of combining assets for a merger between the latter company and the former's WarnerMedia. An announcement may come within the coming days, with unidentified sources close to the talks pointing to a done deal. https://deadline.com/2021/05/att-discovery-warnermedia-merger-media-assets-hbo-max-streaming-1234757836/ UPDATE (5/17/21): The merger is officially announced. https://www.cnbc.com/amp/2021/05/17/att-to-combine-warnermedia-and-discovery-assets-to-create-a-new-standalone-company.html UPDATE 2 (6/1/21): It has a name -- Warner Bros. Discovery https://deadline.com/2021/06/discovery-merged-company-to-be-called-warner-bros-discovery-1234767195/ UPDATE 3 (2/9/22): The merger has been approved and cleared by U.S. regulators. It also already received the green light by European regulators. https://deadline.com/2022/02/warnermedia-discovery-merger-doj-clearance-att-1234929507/ UPDATE 4 (3/11/22): The Discovery shareholders have approved the merger, with its expected completion coming in April. https://deadline.com/2022/03/discovery-shareholders-approve-warnermedia-merger-att-1234976052/
  21. It's a live second hour, but some stations preempt it until 10 for local newscasts (e.g. WPVI).
  22. When they say "Trust is Earned", they mean it. Such a well-deserved accolade.
  23. I like this package, but the last was amazing. They were still fresh and didn't need to be replaced.
  24. I feel that too. It looks like they've been upgraded with multiple screens and blue lit borders throughout the desk area. I honestly thought they finally got a new set because of the brighter and clearer picture and actual bevels (not the fake ones on the middle screen) behind Ukee.
