NBC refuse to apologize. Looks like they are digging a deeper hole

While NBC isn't apologizing to the public for the incident, it sent a memo to directly to all station managers at NBC's affiliates, apologizing for any criticism that they faced.

So he's not apologizing for not covering it.. He's just saying sorry to the stations for facing critisim. real classy guy.

The thing is that Kris Jenner herself is ticked off about the situation as well, and it's implied that she was blindsided by NBC's move, not realizing that she was being interviewed during the moment of silence.

Oddly, they note that the moment of silence hasn't been shown on Today on every anniversary of the September 11 attacks since 2007 (with the exception of the 2011 10th anniversary, it would have been an even bigger mess if it happened then), yet it took an interview with Kris Jenner to spark controversy? Why not the four other times that it wasn't televised by NBC, why weren't people riled up then? Is it that nobody really noticed until now or is it that, compounded with people's general disdain for the Kardashians? I'm not at all defending their decision, but it seems peculiar that a controversy involving the failure to broadcast the rememberance of those who died on the most tragic day in U.S. (and to put it in an even better context, world) history hasn't sparked a row until this year. It just doesn't make much sense considering that Today was by far, the top-rated national morning news program until Good Morning America started beating them periodically in June.

I call bulls**t on that one. She knows that the interview is on 9/11 and used it as a excuse.

I never realized that they ignored the moment of silence in years past. Up into earlier this year I was only able to catch the first hour or so of the morning programs before I left for work. Then again I stopped watch the today show a couple of years back.
