PIXfan 34
Yes, as a Cablevision customer in Southwestern Connecticut, I can proudly confirm the return of WPIX to the system. It only took about TEN WEEKS... Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/12224-pix-back-on-cablevision/#findComment-76636 Share on other sites

T.L. Hughes 890
Senator Gayle Slossberg is the one to thank for this, her decision to call out the FCC for doing nothing in these disputes between cable providers and broadcasters and ask for the agency to intervene put the fear down Tribune and Cablevision's spines and caused them to reach an agreement that would have taken much longer to come together and hammer out. If only more people in Congress stood up for the consumer like that, we'd think different of our House Representatives and State Senators. Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/12224-pix-back-on-cablevision/#findComment-76638 Share on other sites
anchorman 94
They must have brokered a deal late last night/early this morning because they ran a promo thanking Cablevision subscribers with virtually every member of the news team (Jodi, Kaity, Suki, Linda, Mocker, etc.) Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/12224-pix-back-on-cablevision/#findComment-76639 Share on other sites

ABC 7 Denver 1715
It's possible that WPIX might have pre-prepared that beforehand, on the pretense that a resolution would occur. But that is just tangential speculation. The important point, I think we can agree, is that PIX 11 is back on CableVision.
