I missed it - did it look mostly finished or still heavily under construction? I know they originally were planning on a go-live sometime early in the new year.

That was WLUK's set.

Haha...that's not even good fake wood laminate. It's $1.50/sqft generic brown kitchen counter top laminate.

It actually looks exactly as it used to on-air. I think they just wanted to cover the hole that used to hold a cheap LED ticker.

So... anyone hear any buzz about when they plan to unveil the new studio?

This video from Real Milwaukee from earlier this week gave us a very, very small glimpse inside Studio A. The floor has been resurfaced but from the slivers of the studio seen, the set isn't finished yet. The chroma wall is still hung up and the little stub studio is still visible.

The floor had to be resurfaced again last week, as the company who originally did it screwed up. Other than that, the rest of the set is in place. Lighting is being done this week and shot blocking is set to be done this week and wrap up next week.

Stay tuned for a more thorough write up on the new set in the coming days before they go on air....

Now that I have the ability to screencap again, here's the "updated" newsroom. The video loop on the monitors is more saturated, I kinda like it...

And because I have too much time on my hands, a look back:

May 2010, the monitor update is in progress:

A few weeks later, it's finished.
