PTVNews 188 Posted April 24, 2013 Share Posted April 24, 2013 Coming on the heels of the (now potential) sale of Fisher Communication to Sinclair, KATU has received an updated graphic look. It's been about 5 years since they last changed so it was about time. Monday at 4pm they debuted a new look which looks like a modified, updated version of WISH's graphics. I think it's a good update and think they look fresh. The music is the same and fits moderately well. The open VO is wordy but they had been using a similar VO for a few months now mentioning their #1 status. The set remains the same other than a few slightly updated duratrans. channel2 874 Posted April 24, 2013 Share Posted April 24, 2013 Definite upgrade. I'm not much of a fan of Giant Octopus but that old look was hideous and it had to go.
