Word on the street is huge audience gains for 27 in the May book. Someone must disagree with you on the "professional" thing.

Would you still consider Brett Thackara, the abc27 AM meteorologist at below, as professional after seeing this photo? That explains him not winning any of those AP awards.

You know any stations who aren't on top of the ratings, they tend to always rack up all the awards. And then they bloat it on news opens and station IDs. I remember when Ahern ran WBBM, they would be the first to rack up all those awards, and they were still last, I mean third place.

Just because 27 won some awards, it won't stop the station's status quo.

Where's the proof? I want to see those numbers. Did they finally dethrone WGAL? Oh, I guess not.

Part of the problem, from something else posted here recently that I read (something 27 acknowledges and something I can certainly understand), is that 27 wins certain parts of the split-city market but not others (WGAL dominates in one area, WHTM in another).

It's a four city market, which city win which? I thought WGAL is the big ape in the market.

Whp and pmt have the lowest ratings in this market. 27 has always been a dominant player in the Capitol region which is Harrisburg, Carlisle and Lebanon in much the same way that gal is dominant in York and Lancaster county. Whp has been in the tank for years.
