newsmusicfan 13 Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 I found it very strange that a story promoting a show on a competing network was posted on NBC Chicago's website. The story is about the CBS drama "The Good Wife" and is about the episode that airs tomorrow. Apparently it is going to be an explosive episode, but why is an NBC O&O promoting a show on another network? Is it because the show is based in Chicago? The answer is no, because the same story appears at the top of every NBC O&O website. http://www.nbcchicago.com/entertainment/entertainment-news/The-Good-Wife-Goes-Rogue-Julianna-Margulies-229104971.html
24994J 5619 Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 While this instance seems a bit over the top, it's not unusual for shows to be promoted on the entertainment pages of competing stations. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the material on the NBC showbiz pages is outsourced from the E! Network's site, seeing as they share a corporate parent.
