MidwestTV 1247 Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 http://www.mediabistro.com/tvspy/gray-television-shuttering-tv3-winchester_b110510#more-110510 Interesting. Seems like people really like the station too?
GoldenShine9 1514 Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Was that an effort to compete with WHAG which covers the area already? Definitely sad to see stations go...that's part of the Washington market, correct? So they wouldn't end up working out of WHSV?
cg41386 132 Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Yes, Winchester is part of the DC market, I believe.
compubit 675 Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 TV3 was a little weird, in that it was a second full ABC (in addition to WJLA) covering Winchester, but WHSV isn't in the DC market (vice WHAG which is). Sad to see a local news operation disappear. I wonder if Gray will add separate local news on WSVF/CBS (43.2) rather than the simulcasts they currently do. J
