Newsmax is launching its own cable channel.

Looks like Fox News may finally have some competition.

 

B&C states late this morning that conservative media publication, Newsmax, will launch its own cable channel airing on DirecTV in mid-June.

 

It also state that they will also start an "over-the-top" channel later in the summer.

I've never really heard of them but it will be interesting to see if Fox has a loyal audience that's attached to their programs or an audience that just wants anything conservative despite who the personalities are.

These are the same people who place paid "widgets" on websites and try to mix in insightful topics like "How to take $1000 of your Social Security Check" and "Does Obamacare cause cancer?"

I'm sure that'll change once the DirecTV deal kicks into gear.

Considering what NewsMax IS, that phrase could be taken either way.
