Dave Elias stars in play in Brooke County Story by Dave Elias Email | Bio WELLSBURG -- The Brooke Hills Playhouse at Brooke Hills Park, outside of Wellsburg, continues its performances this summer with "Love, Sex and the IRS," a comedy starring WTRF-TV reporter Dave Elias. Elias plays Leslie Arthurs, a struggling musician who is forced to prove to IRS agent Floyd Spinner that his roommate John is married after he lied on his tax forms to save money. What Elias' character has to do to prove it is certainly an eye-opener — he has to dress as a woman. The play runs June 22, 23, 24, 28, 29 and 30. The show begins each night at 8 p.m. The final performance will be held July 1 during a matinee performance at 2 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the door. Wanna bet which is the better play? The fact that he wrote the story says something about WTRF's credibility. It's not big news (or even news period) but that's still a conflict of interest.
