rkolsen 1684
This Monday,17 August, WNEU will launch the markets first live local Spanish language newscasts. They are starting out slow with broadcasts on weekdays at 6 & 11PM. The broadcast will originate from NBC's NECN studios and will be helmed by José A. Rivera Adrovet. The are broadcasting from a simple set that features two 3x3 video walls meeting at a 90° angle forming one large 6x3 video wall. http://www.telemundoboston.com/noticias/Telemundo-Boston-listo-para-lanzar-noticieros-locales-noticiero-telemundo-boston-en-espanol-para-servir-a-la-comunidad-hispana-noticiero-telemundo-boston-en-vivo-307046291.html This looks good and it really goes to show how committed Comcast is to NBC and Telemundo. Granite some improvements were required by their deal but they've seemed to go beyond what is necessary. swillh2k2 203
What is the current Hispanic population in Boston, by the way? Enough for this to get a strong audience? NECN does not air live programming at 6pm or 11pm weekdays, which permits for this new production. TheRolyPoly 2416
Enough for this to get a strong audience? Enough since 2003 when WUNI has produced a LIVE weeknight 6pm newscast. NECN does not air live programming at 6pm or 11pm weekdays. Umm... wrong. NECN does do LIVE programming on weekdays at 6pm. Its called... "Broadside." rkolsen 1684
For some reason I frequently have a hard time using the search. I finally got the search to work to look to see if there were any other mentions of WNEU. Anyway Raymie started a thread back in June about them launching a newscast. Apologies that I didn't see the thread. http://forums.tvnewstalk.net/index.php?/topic/14753-as-necn-unveils-its-refresh-wneu-to-add-news-this-summer/?hl=wneu Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/14575-telemundo-boston-to-launch-news-on-17-de-agosto/#findComment-132578 Share on other sites
