Three Separate 'Weather Authority' Brands in Midland/Odessa

KOSA, KMID, and KPEJ all use the 'Weather Authority' branding in newscasts.

The awkward situation stems from their respective owners' efforts to rebrand the stations at around the same time.

Before the rebrands, KOSA had 'Pinpoint' and KMID/KPEJ didn't brand weather.

At least KMID/KPEJ's version of "weather authority" branding makes sense seeing as how they're owned by Nexstar (though KPEJ is only operated by said company, but still)

Because we all know how difficult it is to brand...

"Hot and Dusty" or "Cold and Windy".

It doesn't make sense to say three separate brands when KMID/KPEJ are together, so in reality... it only makes two. KMID/KPEJ and KOSA with "The Weather Authority." I think KWES still uses "StormTracker 9 Weather."
