WOWT Removes Weather Authority Programming for Cozi

Looks like WOWT finally eliminated The Weather Authority Channel from 6.2 as on TitanTV, it now lists that as Cozi TV with Cozi programming. I don't really see much loss as all it was was a loop of Accuweather forecasts that didn't even mention Omaha/Nebraska, and the WOWT forecasts on it sometimes went a day without being updated. That makes their line up 6.1 NBC, 6.2 Cozi, and 6.3 Antenna TV.

Was it the national channel with inserts (like the old Weather+) or one of those channel in a box solutions for, early offered by AccuWeather and Baron? A Cozi channel would generate more revenue and provide the children's programming.

Was originally locally originated in the first years, then got the AccuWeather backend, but obviously it quickly became a low priority in these last years.

It appears KTVK in Phoenix may be doing the same with its news and weather subchannels. Enter a Phoenix-area ZIP code in comettv.com, and it brings up Channel 3.2. It's possible that the 3TV news loop will move to 3.3, shoving its nine-year-old "CBS 5 Weather Now" subchannel (which spent eight of those years on KPHO 5.2, now Cozi) into oblivion, since the news channel is where they parked the E/I programming that used to be on 3.1 before they agreed to carry Litton's "Go Time" syndicated block.

That would leave KPNX 12.2, which is affiliated with AccuWeather and is a remnant of the "NBC Weather Plus" era, as the remaining weather-only subchannel in Phoenix.
