Two TV engineers who were on the crest of the mountain, the primary broadcast site for the area, noticed a flickering light coming from one transmitter shack with an open door. They found a man lighting a Molotov cocktail; he had several more, placed near dozens of transmitters at a site with many fuel tanks and electrical lines. The man fled the scene in a stolen white SUV, which was later found on fire with a dog inside.
