Tis the season for updates....next up on Media General's plate is WNCT.

 

They revamped their look to match the graphics on WNCN, aside from rebranding themselves (they're still WNCT 9 On Your Side with the same logo)

 

They've also ditched "Canvas" for "Inergy".

 

It's how WNCN SHOULD look....IMHO. the whole "CBS North Carolina" is a bit much.

 

All in all, a nice refresh for them, and another distraction for the Nexstar people looking to make changes after the sale goes through...

I'm trying to pull up a newscast on NewsOn, but they're one of the few Media General stations not to use the service....

Jay Garner has given way to Jeff Laurence...just like on WRBL which switched earlier.

This leaves WCBD with the blue package, WSAV with the red package, and WJHL with the red and blue package.

And WJBF STILL has the original MGFX-like look.

Betcha DeathStar rebrands WNCN as Local17 with TheTriangleCares . COM or some stupid URL like that.

iNergy isn't a bad package, but it certainly doesn't fit with these graphics.
