I know one thing: if the Ceeb succeeds with the proposal, they'll face a lot of downs like the BBC has faced/is facing over the past decade. From reading some of the comments under the linked article alone, a lot of people aren't pleased with it. Good luck to them.
Journalist 894 Posted December 2, 2016 Posted December 2, 2016 The executive vice-president of CBC's English Services spoke about the topic a few mornings ago on CBC Radio 1 Toronto. She was reaffirming that CBC is a true Canadian media resource and the extra funding would help them fulfill that initiative. She also made shots at her political opponents, telling 'em to watch American services if they don't appreciate their own domestic content.
