Ryanthenewsgeek 31 Posted December 19, 2016 Share Posted December 19, 2016 I noticed at noon that KDKA is using their temporary set again, I know on Saturday morning I heard a loud bang and Meteorologist Jon Bernett said "don't worry, the set is falling apart" and Brenda Waters laughed it off and Rick Dayton said something too. It may not be nothing but just thought I'd ask and see what was going on? Ryanthenewsgeek 31 Posted December 20, 2016 Author Share Posted December 20, 2016 According to a message I received from KDKA' Morning Meteorologist Ron Smiley They are redoing the audio board and some other upgrades and in the process had to take out a room and rebuild it farther out. In all of that moved main anchors out for next couple of dYs in guessing. Construction takes a little time and working around the schedule of a TV news station isn't very convenient. They'll probably be on the temp set during midday for the next few days since that's when construction crews prefer to work.
