Greggo 358 Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 KPRC has started moving into its new building, which is directly next door to the old building, which will soon be demolished. Today was their first day in the new newsroom and the new set will debut soon. It's pretty much a clone of the set at KSAT/San Antonio, which make sense since they're both Graham Media stations. Houston media blogger Mike McGuff got a sneak peek today:
TennTV1983 807 Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 I don't know if I would call it an exact clone of KSAT's set. They may look similar, but KPRC's new digs have some rather distinctive elements to it. Michael Wright did another great job.
MidwestTV 1244 Posted April 6, 2017 Posted April 6, 2017 Love that corner wall video display. Is this studio smaller than the old one? It looks like it, at least in terms of height. I was a fan of their old set up, but this still looks quite nice.

Weeters 1969 Posted April 6, 2017 Posted April 6, 2017 LOVE the repurposed Kliegl lights hanging in the lobby. Hopefully they already had those around because they can get pretty expensive on eBay...
