newsn8te 202 Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 WXMI is using the current WGN graphics for their talent rejoin. The main open remains the same. Wonder if they'll be switching to the full package?

Conrad 113 Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 If they do it'll be for a brief time but otherwise don't expect them to implement the graphics outside of the talent rejoins Especially considering another company would be buying WXMI out soon.
A3N 1002 Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 It's going to take a LONG time for Sinclair to implement their graphics package (if ever) to the Tribune stations. There are quite a few of Sinclair stations that still don't have the cheap blue graphics. WXMI was the first of Tribune's FOX stations to debut the fox package, so if they're using WGN's version, then they must be planning on adopting that look sometime soon.

And I highly doubt that WXMI will get the Sinclair graphics/music, same with KFOR/KAUT (if anything KFOR/KAUT would more than likely get either Scripps or Raycom graphics/music) and several others
WestleyWolf 122 Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 KTXL was modeled after WXMI so they might get it too then again KSWB, WPMT, WTIC and WXIN. the only one i know that doesnt adopt these graphics is KCPQ. they use in house graphics now.

And by the time those Fox affiliates get WGN-esque graphics they may be doing that in between their current graphics and Sinclair graphics
Rusty Muck 4405 Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 Especially considering another company would be buying WXMI out soon. Is it a given that Sinclair would implement their current graphics on the legacy Tribune stations anyway? That alone would take years to implement (especially if Sinclair doesn't bother to standardize CG equipment and master control operations within the whole group).
