Cox run stations in Jax are on a temp set noticed the difference this morning. No weather toss wide shot to wearher center straight to green screen. Hopefully they get something good and a new graphics package.

Most of the weather hits have the weather anchor already standing at the chroma wall, after the weather open is showned. At other times the weather anchor is standing next to the news anchors, then walk to the chroma wall.

If they are getting a new set, you can say goodbye to probably one of the last of the Newport sets.

Wonder if this means KOKI/Tulsa is about to get a new set too. They both have similar Newport/Clear Channel sets dating back to before Cox acquired them.

In due time, though they would probably get a new graphics package out of it as well.

Sinclair has a few that they have kept, including WHAM, WHP and WPMI...these were all Devlin sets that are close to the ones that they designed for Sinclair themself.

WJAX/WFOX could still use a little work and a second reboot. The whole relaunch was bad, even by COX standards

(only eclipsed by that station up north that shall not be known by it's affiliation and former owner...)

IIRC, WJAX/WFOX was outranking WTLV/WJXX in the ratings, so I doubt another reboot is necessary or even wanted.

Any updates? Still seemingly a temp set?

On the new set: Nicely done job by Devlin as per usual. That glossy blue floor is gonna have to take some getting used to though.

On the graphics: They look too much like the current Scripps graphics design-wise. Maybe that's just me.

EDIT: Music has also changed. The Edge has been replaced with High Velocity.
