KKyuubi 0
From what I'm hearing, KDOC-TV (an independent station located in Orange County, part of the LA DMA) is going to be teaming up with the Orange County Register newspaper, to produce a new morning newscast this fall for KDOC-TV. Although the area is served by the LA DMA, there is currently only one news program only covering the OC, produced by local PBS affiliate KOCE. The new program is going to be called "Daybreak OC", but there is one more twist with this tale: Not only will they be moving to new studios at the Orange County Register headquarters, the new newscast will also be in High Definition! So now, we're getting 4 distinct HD operations in LA, we got KABC, KTLA, KCBS/KCAL, and now this. Amazing. September 10th everyone, mark your calendars. http://www.ocregister.com/ocregister/about_us/newsreleases/kdoc.php Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/1600-la-getting-another-hd-newscastfrom-an-unlikely-source/ Share on other sites

Vlad 325
KNBC will also go HD soon. Yeah I was surprised why they haven't in fact been broadcasting in HD already since WNBC here in New York has been in HD since last year.
