Legendary WPLG anchor and reporter Kristi Krueger will soon turn the page on her career.

 

After 33 years of anchoring behind a desk, Kristi will be giving up her anchoring role at WPLG, which is currently the noon, 3:00, 4:30, and 5:30 newscasts.

 

However, she will remain for the station's health reports under her Healthcast branding that she's also been known for in Miami for so long now and she'll be doing that two days a week while she gets to enjoy life in semi-retirement the other five days of the week.

However, tomorrow, for the first time in two years, she'll be back tomorrow on the anchor desk to fill in while Blake Eason and Diana Gutiérrez cover Summerfest for WISN with field anchoring.

Comes on the same day WHEC's Glenn Johnson hung it up for good today after a 41-year run in broadcast meteorology, all of it in Rochester.

On the weekend of July 10th, WCSC-TV will be discontinuing two newscasts: their half-hour news at 3:00pm and their Sunday morning news at 8:00am as they expand Palmetto Life to three different editions, one at 9:00am where its at now, another at 3:00pm, and another on Sunday morning at 8:00am.

 

Emilie Zuhowski will continue at 9am while Regan Ranzer is tapped to host at 3pm, and Isabelle Marak will helm Sunday mornings.
