KCWY Cutting staff.

According to Scott at FTVLive, The NBC Affiliate in Casper WY NBC13 (KCWY) is cutting staff and is merging with KGWN the CBS station in Cheyenne--but there parent company Gray Television is blaming the feds for the merger.    This is by far one of the dumbest things I've heard in a while.     With that said i have always thought it's a little bit strange that you have the NBC & ABC Affiliates in Casper but the CBS Station is in Cheyenne.

We've talked about this in Out and About before.

The morning, midday, latenight and weekend late night news will be simulcast with market-focused news on early-evenings at 5:00 for Casper and 5:30 for Cheyenne.

Gray only has the NBC affiliate in Casper. The ABC, CBS, and FOX all have different licensees, but are commonly operated as the Wyomedia group - on a very shoestring budget.
