There's an obvious CBS This Morning influence, especially in the desk, but it looks really nice and probably feels quite large on-air.

I hope that WPRI in Providence will get a similar set next time an update occurs in regards to both set and graphics. Hopefully, WPRI will use the CBS gfx, but likely,  it'll be the generic Nexstar gfx used by WIVB, WBRE/WYOU, and KRON.

This is *the* nicest set in Birmingham.

The best set Nexstar has ever released for that station.

Probably the CBS graphics but with Red accents instead of yellow or orange (WCIA).

This is an impressive set in itself, and by WBMG/WIAT standards puts them on a whole new level.  Well done Nexstar.

It looks like they are partnering with an Arkansas-based company called Schroeder Enterprises for many of their new sets.  Lance Schroeder is mentioned in the WIAT article, and searches show that he was behind the set work at KCAU and KOLR.

Looking at this, he was also likely tasked with reworking WKRG's set into its current configuration.  A lot of the design additions are similar...

He also did WTWO's set. He's worked with Nexstar for a while.

Nice set for Birmingham. Hopefully, we can sound the all-clear and say that Nexstar is finally over its use of Daleks on the set.

The selling point of that entire set is the archway. I mean my God, that's a gorgeous archway.

My god did Nexstar just save WIAT? This overwhelming amazing set may just be a very good start in doing so!

A set alone won't save a sinking ship. However, it does look very good.
