Someone at Scripps and 'TMJ decided 'hey, so this weather warning is the same size as legal type in a cell phone ad, and our viewers have to squint or get three inches in front of the screen to read the text...but it's good enough for us!' 🙄

2021...the year my hope that 'TMJ would right the ship...didn't happen.

Just in case anyone was interested in what happened if a Scripps station decided to choose the oddest colors possible for their graphics...here's WCPO with orange and black Bengals colors in their L3's. Be glad Seattle doesn't have a Scripps station or a team in the Super Bowl; they could be worse.

With such staunch standardization across station groups anymore, I'm all for ANY variation, even as visually unappealing as this (specific) implementation may be. KDKA's black and yellow CBS O&O variation are another great example, and I've recently seen a yellow and sky-blue variation of the FOX O&O graphics here on KTTV for the Rams' superbowl run. If there isn't going to be any variation from station-to-station anymore, at least let them have fun with what they're stuck with.

Looks like WLEX borrowed (Burrow) them from WCPO and made the set orange.
