Maybe he would be given another role at the station to better showcase his skills -- a weekly weather feature or something like that. If he is being let go, 10 would be stupid not to snatch him up immediately. I'm not sold that he is going be let go from 29, though. Back to John: I could see them bringing in Bo-Bo in efforts to ready themselves for their 11PM offering -- with Bolaris they'd probably beat 10 handily for a solid third. Johnnie's agent has allegedly been sending out trial balloons to some of the media and maybe even some of these websites. It hasn't been working. I've heard (somewhat educated speculation) from some agents that he's no longer seen as a good fit really anywhere in Philly right now. 10 would not look good bringing him back and seeming to admit to a mistake. Rob G. at Fox does a nice job and I trust his blog message, though if I were he I would have used slightly better discretion than to use the word "crap." 3 is awaiting Kamerrer and 6 is set. I would add that really, JB is a pleasant, if very average, weathercaster, and as for all the "buzz," I have a good idea who's trying to generate it (pls. see above). It's fairly well known in Philadelphia that Bolaris opted himself to leave 10 for WCBS. In the days leading up to his leaving, he went on 10 saying that working at a station in his home market of NYC was his "dream job." It's now pretty much predominantly blue, and much lighter on segment opens. It's probably become the most subdued version of the O&O look that I've seen. Exactly why 29's 5PM offering has been received better without the stool and all of that you say you love. It's what the viewers want to see.
