For the first time in its history, AMC, known as American Movie Classics until 2002, which gave us Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, is venturing into sports.

 

Get ready for TNA Thursday Night Impact! on Thursday nights on AMC starting January 15th, 2026.

As a TNA fan since 2017, this is to me the most exciting news. AMC is the most high-profile network for TNA programming since Spike (maybe even more due to its own programming and their individual and collective quality). I never did think AMC would pick up Impact, as it is known as a network airing movies and prestige TV dramas.

I thought The CW would sign on due to its prominence in news reports, already picking up WWE NXT and its large investment in live sports. But hearing AMC gave the strongest offer, it makes a lot of sense and still is great to hear. I wish TNA and AMC all of the best in their new partnership.
