ThunderJay27 45 Posted October 23, 2007 Share Posted October 23, 2007 I caught the tail end of a commercial by channel 6 talking about Lisa T.L. and her being on at 11pm. Jim Gardner was saying that she is a great co-worker, a great someting, and a great person. It ended with her smiling pose and the the graphic "action news @ 11pm" if i remember right. It was during the 8:30 half hour of GMA. Can anyone enlighten me about it? If 6 puts her with Gardner, Papa, and Tynan, 3 & 10 can kiss 1st place goodbye for another 15 years. I caught the beginning of last nights broadcast and Jim was by himself unless they plan on doing something in the upcoming weeks. Of course that could all change since there is a major change at 6abc per TV week article today Campbell Named President-GM at WABC-TV By Michele Greppi Rebecca Campbell has been promoted to president and general manager of ABC-owned flagship station WABC-TV in New York, after a successful run at sister station WPVI-TV in Philadelphia. Ms. Campbell joined the Philly station in 1997 as program director, after having worked at several Pennsylvania stations. In 2003, she was named president and general manager at WPVI. Both WPVI and WABC are the highest-rated stations from sign-on to sign-off in their respective markets. WABC-TV recently became the revenue market-share leader, breaking WNBC-TV’s streak, under Ms. Campbell’s predecessor, Dave Davis. Mr. Davis recently was named executive VP of ABC News. Ms. Campbell’s appointment, effective immediately, was announced Tuesday by ABC Television Stations Group President Walter Liss. “Rebecca Campbell has done a sensational job as president and general manager at WPVI-TV in Philadelphia,” Mr. Liss said. “Her outstanding leadership skills and knowledge of the business make her ideally suited for the top post at WABC-TV in New York.” Ms. Campbell’s new duties include responsibility for WABC and all of its ancillary businesses, including three additional digital TV channels; 7online.com, the station’s Web site; and the syndicated hit talk show “Live With Regis and Kelly,” which is produced by the station. I think they are just promoting Lisa's special reports, Nydia's consumer reports, and Erin's "right now on the net." I haven't seen the the spot, nor have I been made privy to knowledge confirming. I feel that I'm safely assuming when I say that the suggestion that this was only a promo for her reports at 11PM is correct.
