qwertywcbs 0
Well, WCBS has their two newest reporters anchoring this morning, along with the newest weather person. John Metaxas and Debra Garcia are painfully anchoring this morning, along with "Liz Caruthers" as this mistakenly spelt her name on her first L3. Dave Carlin is out reporting, which he would be a much better anchor this morning, and obviously they have interns doing graphics (the live bug inparticular has been altered a couple of times). Liz is horrid this morning with tossing from John/Debra to herself. Even for the holidays, this is a horrible matchup. morningnewsfan 0
Wow today on CBS2 was DREADFUL. I could not stand to watch any more. Total Est Time Watching CBS2 Christmas Morning: 11 seconds. I couldn't let it mess up my Christmas Morning. While CBS2 viewers were wasting their time watching, I can't even think of a name for it, I was watching the News Leader, Eyewitness News This Morning. It was great for me to watch Bill Ritter in the morning, as I never have before. He was alongside Lauren Glassburg, Heidi Jones and Debbie DuHaime. I love how one viewer said in one of there e-mails that It's good to just take off from local news as they really only covered Christmas Celebrations in various locations and James Brown's death with Ken Rosato reporting and that's about it. The rest of the time was weather and traffic and e-mails, in which I enjoyed very much. Just taking a break on a day like this is great. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to Everyone Else. -MNF- Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/255-christmas-day-fill-ins/#findComment-1943 Share on other sites

Great broadcast, I sent them an e-mail of my own as well. -Vlad Merry Christmas Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/255-christmas-day-fill-ins/#findComment-1949 Share on other sites
qwertywcbs 0
Odd... WCBS had been promoing all weekend for Monday morning and they said "Metro Traffic" which there was no traffic at all throughout the entire broadcast. And I'm cringing because Deborah Garcia has been on CBS 2 News this Morning, noon (solo), and 5 alongside Chris Wragge. Now Chris is soloing the 6pm. I think it is interesting that John Bolaris never takes off. Thanksgiving, Christmas... he works. JWERTHE 0
It was nice to see Ida Siegel co anchoring this morning. She's the consummate pro and have stated previously she deserves a co hosting spot.
