Mr. Vanik had a mini stroke a while back, and some stations just don't feel comfortable with the quality of his work. I actually can't tell much of a difference-- he's always had a bit of a lilt to his voice.

KATU still has him though and you can tell from some of the videos on youtube that he sounds different. I still think he is pretty good. Sorry to side track but I am curious. Who is doing the voiceovers now for KDKA? I have never heard of this guy anywhere else before.
SydWHunte AKA swillh2k2 0 Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 This is unrelated to the VO, but why did they have to stick their slogan and the website on what was otherwise a great GFX package? At the very least, they could have gotten it modified by the graphics company instead of doing it in-house...it looks ugly. It's not even lined up correctly.

Please let me say this has been a very trying time for me. While the MRI showed negative and the 6 doctors and specialists I saw said there was no sign of stroke or cancer, something happened. Looking back, I can tell you several very important souls passed away during this time. I suffered other personal and business losses too. Be that as it may; I have to solve it.
