Tonight will be a sad night for television news as four legends of broadcasting retire. I'm talking about Dwight Lauderdale of WPLG, Gary Warner of KVIA-TV, Dennis Richmond of KTVU, and Wendy Chioji from WESH. Dwight's retiring after 32 years at WPLG, Gary leaving after 35 years, Dennis leaving at 40 years at KTVU, and Wendy leaving after 20 years at WESH.

Here are the web sites:

Gary (KVIA)- http://www.kvia.com/Global/category.asp?C=134260

Dennis (KTVU)- http://www.ktvu.com/news/16335377/detail.html

Dwight (WPLG)- http://www.local10.com/dwightlauderdale/index.html

Wendy (WESH)- http://www.wesh.com/wendy/index.html

I saw Wendy and Gary in action when I visited there, and I really liked them. I wish all of them the best of luck.

Dwight Lauderdale is a class act. When I visited Miami, I watched him and he was a really great anchor. He deserves this vacations and wish him the very best.

I saw the finale last night, it was well, wild to see a man of stature in SoFla leave. And here's the cool part, Shannon Hori, on behalf of WFOR GM Tom Doerr did a shout out to Dwight Lauderdale on the 11pm Report before the end of the newscast.
